This week’s photo highlights students connecting with local organizations and collecting valuable resources during our school community meeting. These meetings are not only an opportunity to build community connections but also a time to celebrate student success, including perfect attendance, honor roll recognition, and outstanding academic performance from the previous grading period.

We are proud to recognize our most recent graduates listed above, celebrating their hard work and dedication. With 18 students having graduated in just the first six weeks of school, this early success sets a positive tone for the year ahead.
Seut C.
Isaac G.
The Natural Resource Management team would like to recognize Seut C. and Isaac G. for August Corpsmembers of the Month.
Seut C. is a great example to his peers. He shows up to work with a smile on his face and always treats his fellow corpsmembers, supervisors, and the public with respect. The impact his work ethic and attitude have had on crew morale is greatly appreciated. When working Direct Discharge in July on the Guadalupe River Trail, Seut would often be the first to volunteer for a wide range of assignments, including trail maintenance tasks such as leaf blowing and litter abatement.
A big thank-you goes out to Isaac G. for his outstanding support and leadership within his crew and the organization. He is a dependable and hardworking team member, always eager to take on any task and assist others. His dedication to learn, willingness to help, and positive presence make him an excellent role model and a valuable member of the organization. We are happy to see his growth and look forward to watching him aim for even bigger things in the future.
Congratulations to Cameron B. and Nathaniel R. for successfully completing their Internal Combustion and Electric Wheel Forklift Training. Your commitment to safety and continuous improvement is truly appreciated. Great job!
Last week, we held our annual Corps Picnic! The purpose of the event is to celebrate our accomplishments and honor the hard work, dedication, and impact corpsmembers make every single day. We also take time to recognize our sponsors and community partners for their support of our organization.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this day meaningful and memorable, including all our corpsmember ambassadors. Here's to another year of making a lasting impact together.
Corpsmembers are out in Alum Rock Park, tackling trail maintenance and fire fuel reduction. As temperatures rise, so does wildfire risk. Great job helping protect the community and keeping trails safe for all who visit.
It was a great day at Coyote Lake in Gilroy as Zero Waste Supervisor Norma O. and Corpsmember Mary T. handed out used oil collection containers to parkgoers during a community outreach event. With perfect weather and plenty of local wildlife to enjoy, it was the ideal weekend to connect with the public and promote sustainability.
In May, we asked corpsmembers to fill out the career readiness survey. The survey was created to give each corpsmember an opportunity to express how they would like to receive support for their post-Corps career and/or education plans. From this feedback, the organization can learn how to continuously improve the career readiness aspects of the Corpsmember Journey.
Here's a summary of the corpsmembers' responses to the career readiness survey in the flyer above.
Take advantage of our $100 referral program to help us with our recruitment efforts. Please follow the instructions on the flyer above to submit your referral.

The Bill Wilson Center's youth advisory board, the Youth Impact Partnership (YIP) is hosting a free advocacy training for all ages this evening from 6-8pm. This will be the first event in a five-part series. Check out the flyer above for more details.
