This week’s photo features Environmental Projects and Resilience corpsmembers kicking off their Monday morning with group stretches to prepare for the day ahead. Now that the Natural Resource Management (NRM) department is starting their days at the Senter Campus, the whole team can stretch together and start the day as one. Shout-out to Kylee L., Seut C., and Richard S. for leading the morning stretches!

Join Chris N. and other co-workers on a hike into Butano State Park on June 29th, 8:00am to 12:30pm. Hike the Ano Nuevo Trail and explore the edge of the CZU 2020 Burn Scar before moving into the heart of the park underneath the redwood tree canopy. Sections of the trail will have little shade, so please pack sunscreen, hats, and 2 liters of water per person. Slack or Email Chris to RSVP!

We are thrilled to recognize the commitment of our Natural Resource Management (NRM) corpsmembers who maintained perfect attendance throughout the month of May. Their reliability and punctuality set a remarkable example for all. Congratulations to Seut C. & Luis P. from our Projects crews and Jairo C. & Mario U. from the Resilience team! Keep up the great work.
Earlier this week, we deployed another team to the Family Camp at Yosemite! Our Environmental Projects crew, along with two dedicated interns, is working on essential repairs to tents and cabins, as well as habitat and trail restoration.
These efforts come in response to damage caused by a severe winter storm, which unfortunately forced the camp to close for this year's camping season. While the grounds are quiet for now, we’re hopeful that the work being done will help restore the camp and have it ready to welcome campers next year.
In a meaningful gesture, Family Camp has also offered to dedicate a selected project to Albertano Rocha. The tribute may include a plaque on one of the tent cabins, newly installed benches, native tree and wildflower gardens—or possibly all three.
Stay tuned for more updates!
