BEGINNINGS BASH: SAVE THE DATE

Please join us in celebrating the achievements of the graduating students and corspmembers of 2024 on May 23rd from 5 PM - 7 PM at Lake Cunningham! 

Beginnings Bash, formerly known as the Grad Party, will include games, prizes, a dunk tank, and free food. Let us congratulate these hardworking and dedicated corpsmembers who have accomplished so much. 

We encourage active corpsmembers, students, and staff to attend and share their support. We wish the graduating class a bright and successful future and hope to see you there!

• Corpsmembers, students, and staff are permitted one ticket.

• ​Graduating corpsmembers and students are permitted one ticket and two registered guests. 

Please refrain from bringing any alcohol, drugs, or unregistered guests onto the premises. We appreciate and expect your cooperation.

We are partnering up with the Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition and Keep Coyote Creek Beautiful for a creek clean-up group ride! Read the flier above for more info. If you're interested, sign up below!

CELEBRATE EARTH DAY WITH US

We teamed up with VivaCalleSJ to bring you an epic, family-fun-filled Earth Day celebration! 

The day will be filled with:

• Local Artists

• Resources

• Family Activities

• Touch-A-Truck

• Recycling Games

• 12-Foot Giant Earth Ball

Celebrate with us on Sunday, April 21st from 10 AM - 3 PM at Martial Cottle Park! (5283 Snell Ave. San Jose, CA 95136).

OUTDOOR CLUB

Do you enjoy being outside? Do you want to connect with people who share your interests? You are invited to join SJCC+CS's OUTDOOR CLUB! Whether running, walking, hiking, skiing, finding new parks, general adventuring, or whatever awesome ideas you want to share, the outdoor club is a space to connect with people, share interests, and explore the GREAT OUTDOORS!

AMERICORPS EDUCATION AWARDS

This month we had eight corpsmembers who received their AmeriCorps Education Awards! Congratulations!

PIPE TRADES TOUR

Corpsmembers went on a tour of the UA Local 393 training facilities, where they gained valuable insights into the trades offered, including plumbing, steamfitting, and HVACR. During the tour, they received detailed information about the enrollment process, explored the classrooms where they would be attending classes, and got a glimpse of the certificates they could earn upon completion of their training.
