This week's photo features corpsmembers participating in our ongoing Wildland Fire-fighting Pathway. This intensive training program equips them with the critical skills needed to safely and effectively respond to wildfires, one of the most pressing environmental challenges of our time. Through various hands-on trainings and certification programs, from hand tools to wilderness first-aid, these corpsmembers will be equipped with the necessary skills to pursue a career in wildfire defense and management. Thank you, Supervisor Dani R., for the cool photo!
For a chance to be featured on the photo of the week, please email your best pictures to social@sjcccs.org or share your team updates on Slack.

This week, we hosted our very first Open House for Community Leaders, and it was a powerful gathering. Our dedicated staff came together to showcase the incredible work they do each day, giving guests a full view of our mission in action. The event united like-minded leaders, all committed to helping more young adults earn their high school diploma with the support they need. We're excited to keep building these meaningful connections with more Open Houses in the future!
This week's Baby Depot was a big success! Support Services had the opportunity to support 15 corpsmembers and their families by providing essential supplies for their little ones. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated—your generosity made a real difference. We’re hopeful this is just the beginning of many more support events to come!
