In light of recent changes at the national level, we want to reaffirm our commitment to being a safe and inclusive space for all. For over 30 years, it has been the mission of the San Jose Conservation Corps + Charter School to support young adults in their personal, professional, and educational goals while serving our community. Recent events have solidified the purpose and importance of this organization. This is not the first time we have faced adversity together as a team, and in these times it is critical that we remember and uphold our mission and values in the face of uncertainty.
Our HR department and leadership team are available for support and resources as needed. Please speak to any of them to receive a “red card”, available in English and Spanish, which are meant to help people understand their rights on how to defend themselves in immigration-related situations, such as when ICE agents go to a home. Please use the button below to see a list of other resources and services for immigrants and transgender individuals.

This past Saturday, our Zero Waste team partnered with Cupertino High School to host an e-waste collection event for the local community. Together, we successfully collected over 2,000 pounds of electronic waste, helping to keep harmful materials out of landfills and promote sustainable disposal practices. The event also provided a fantastic opportunity to connect with residents, build stronger ties within the community, and raise awareness about the importance of e-waste recycling. We’re grateful for everyone who came out and supported us.
Congratulations to Mary L. and Mary T. for completing their forklift training and getting their certifications!
A big thank you to Supervisors Luz and Oscar and their teams for leading the effort in properly sorting e-waste materials from a recent client pickup. Their dedication is a prime example of how such initiatives help companies avoid improper disposal of electronic waste, ensuring that over 100,000lbs of e-waste is managed responsibly and kept out of landfills.
Take advantage of our $100 referral program to help us with our recruitment efforts. Please follow the instructions on the flyer above to submit your referral.
