This week's photo features corpsmember, Joseph at Watson Park on the Coyote Creek Trail, raising up a toyon tree. Fun fact toyon trees are not trees at all; they are shrubs! 🌳
For a chance to be featured on the photo of the week, please email your best pictures to social@sjcccs.org or share your team updates on Slack.

Last month, corpsmembers from San Jose and Long Beach Conservation Corps quickly mobilized for deployment as part of the AmeriCorps Disaster Response Team (A-DRT). A-DRT is a program that specializes in disaster response and recovery. Corpsmembers headed to North Carolina to provide critical relief and support to the survivors of Hurricane Helene. We're proud of their commitment to service and wish them a safe deployment.

While the holiday season and end-of-year festivities can be fun, they can also be stressful and take a toll on your emotional well-being. Prioritizing your emotional well-being involves setting aside time for self-care, practicing mindfulness, and seeking support when needed. It's essential to recognize your feelings, set healthy boundaries, and take proactive steps to nurture your mental health. For more guidance, please read the resource we have provided.
Support Services has insulated bags for groceries. Please stop by any of the Support Services offices to get one. For CM's and students only. If you have any questions feel free to contact Cris Pereira.
