 A CHANCE TO SHARE YOUR CREATIVE SIDE

Calling all corpsmembers and staff! Get into the festive spirit and create unique holiday ornaments for our community tree in San Jose's Enchanted Forest. Join us for a hands-on, fun-filled workshop where you’ll craft beautiful decorations to brighten up our tree at the city's annual Christmas in the Park holiday exhibit. Corpsmembers who attend a workshop will earn AmeriCorps hours!  The last workshop will be Wednesday November 20th. RSVP here!

SUMMER SPIKE RECAP: RESTORING BIG BASIN STATE PARK

Our season working at Big Basin has come to an end. From June 2024 to November 2024, our crews worked with State Parks trail staff for ten back-to-back spikes. These were eight-day trips where twelve corpsmembers and two supervisors would camp out in the park and work on the historic trails within Big Basin.

Corpsmembers cleared out hazardous trees, brush, wood debris, and cut down overgrown vegetation that had appeared in the years since the fire. They also helped build bridges to enhance the trails further.
