ICE RESOURCES AND SUPPORT FOR ALL

In light of recent changes at the national level, we want to reaffirm our commitment to being a safe and inclusive space for all. For over 30 years, it has been the mission of the San Jose Conservation Corps + Charter School to support young adults in their personal, professional, and educational goals while serving our community. Recent events have solidified the purpose and importance of this organization. This is not the first time we have faced adversity together as a team, and in these times it is critical that we remember and uphold our mission and values in the face of uncertainty. 

Our HR department and leadership team are available for support and resources as needed. Please speak to any of them to receive a “red card”, available in English and Spanish, which are meant to help people understand their rights on how to defend themselves in immigration-related situations, such as when ICE agents go to a home. TO THE FOREST: FIRST DAY OF CALIFORNIA NATURALIST

This week, corpsmembers and staff made their way to Sanborn County Park and Castle Rock State Park, learning about the natural rock formations, California's biodiversity, what it means to be a naturalist, and California's water systems. Thank you to the CMD team, drivers, and corpsmembers for capturing beautiful images of your exploration and learning journey.

NORTH CAROLINA UPDATE

Our corpsmembers are continuing their work in North Carolina, clearing downed trees, making areas more accessible, and overall reducing future fire fuel sources. Great work team! Keep it up!
