A paid opportunity to learn and explore Santa Clara Valley! Through the utilization of lectures, assignments, chapter discussions, and in-person field trips, corpsmembers participate in hands-on and field-based activities. They focus on experiential learning and exploration of the Santa Clara Valley's natural resources to increase the knowledge and commitment to environmental stewardship. Jan Jimenez and Ina Heneghan, both AmeriCorps staff members, enthusiastically joined the Zero Waste team for a residential E-waste pickup route earlier this week. Immersing themselves as corpsmembers, they spent the day connecting with the community and experiencing a day in the life of a Zero Waste corpsmember!

The Futures Fair was a Success! Various organizations stopped by, like Excite Credit Union, Santa Clara County Parks, Trades Orientation Program (TOP), and more, to help corpsmembers explore new opportunities for personal and professional growth. Thank you to everyone who showed up and those who helped coordinate to ensure everything ran smoothly for corpsmembers and organizations.
